Therapeutic dental treatment is one of the fundamental and most important aspects of modern dentistry. High-quality therapeutic treatment serves as a reliable foundation for all subsequent dental procedures, whether it be prosthetics or orthodontic treatment. However, it should not be forgotten that the best treatment is always prevention: preventing a disease is easier, cheaper, and much more pleasant than treating it.
Timely treatment of caries is extremely important because, once it has occurred, the carious process tends to progress. If caries reaches a large size, it can lead to serious complications such as pulpitis (inflammation of the tooth nerve) or periodontitis (inflammation of the tissues surrounding the tooth root). In such cases, treatment becomes more complex, lengthy, and expensive, often requiring nerve removal or even more serious interventions.
Remember: timely and high-quality dental treatment will save you from lengthy and complex procedures in the future.
Caries Treatment at Molddent
The caries treatment process at our clinic includes the following stages:
- Anesthesia: Application of effective local anesthesia for the patient’s complete comfort.
- Preparation: Careful removal of carious tissue under the control of a special caries marker, which allows for maximum preservation of healthy tooth tissue.
- Antiseptic Treatment: Thorough disinfection of the formed cavity.
- Medicinal and Insulating Liners: If necessary, to protect the pulp and improve filling adhesion, medicinal (e.g., Dycal, Germany) and/or insulating (e.g., Vetribond, USA) liners are applied.
- Filling: Restoration of the anatomical shape and function of the tooth using high-quality composite materials (e.g., Filtek Supreme XT 3M ESPE, USA; Gradia Direct GC, Japan; Charisma, Germany) depending on the clinical situation.
- Grinding and Polishing: Giving the filling perfect smoothness and shine to prevent plaque accumulation and ensure aesthetics.
Pulpitis Treatment (Nerve Inflammation)
Pulpitis treatment aims to eliminate the inflammatory process in the tooth pulp and preserve the tooth itself. It includes:
- Anesthesia.
- Diagnostic X-rays (radiovisiography).
- Removal of carious tissue and creation of access to the root canals.
- Mechanical and medicinal treatment of root canals using modern instruments and electronic apex locators (for accurate determination of canal length).
- Antiseptic treatment of canals.
- Hermetic sealing of the root canal system.
Pulpitis treatment usually requires 1 to 3 visits. After successful endodontic treatment, the tooth is restored with a filling, inlay/onlay, or crown.
Periodontitis Treatment (Inflammation of Tissues Around the Root)
Periodontitis is often a complication of untreated caries or pulpitis. Treatment includes:
- Anesthesia.
- Radiovisiographic images.
- Removal of carious tissue and ensuring access to the canals.
- Thorough mechanical and antiseptic treatment of root canals, often with temporary placement of medications in the canals to reduce inflammation.
- Filling of the root canal system.
Periodontitis treatment may also take 1 to 3 visits. After completion of treatment, the tooth is restored with a filling, crown, or inlay/onlay.
Gum Disease Treatment (Periodontitis and Periodontal Disease)
Gum disease treatment has become increasingly relevant recently. Gum inflammation is a common problem, the main cause of which is bacteria эмоций that accumulate in dental plaque and tartar. This leads to bleeding gums during brushing and bad breath. Timely consultation with a specialist and comprehensive treatment will help stop the progression of the disease and maintain the health of your smile.
