Over the past century, prosthetic dentistry has made incredible strides, making tooth restoration fast, effective, and aesthetic. At Molddent Clinic, we employ the most advanced technologies and materials, allowing our experienced specialists to create artificial teeth that are virtually indistinguishable from natural ones, both visually and functionally. We offer cutting-edge prosthetic solutions for both elderly patients and young individuals эффекты who have experienced tooth loss.
Depending on the clinical situation, medical indications, and the patient’s individual wishes, our prosthodontists can offer various prosthetic options, including both fixed and removable appliances.
Types of Prosthetic Services at Our Clinic:
- Fixed dental prosthetics
- Removable dental prosthetics
- Microprosthetics
- Adhesive bridgework
Fixed Dental Prosthetics
This type of prosthetic involves structures that are rigidly fixed in the oral cavity using special dental cement. Such structures include:
- Single Crowns: Made from various materials, including metal-ceramic, zirconia-based ceramic, all-ceramic (e.g., E-max), as well as ceramic on gold-platinum or titanium alloys. Metal-ceramic crowns are a popular and relatively affordable option but require significant tooth preparation and sometimes devitalization. Zirconia crowns, conversely, require more conservative preparation and provide superior aesthetics due to their translucency, closely mimicking natural teeth, though their cost is higher.
- Bridges: Used to replace one or more missing teeth, supported by adjacent teeth or implants.
- Ceramic Veneers and Inlays/Onlays (Microprosthetics): Described below.
Prosthetics on Implants
We particularly highlight prosthetics on implants as the most physiological and advanced method for replacing lost teeth. A dental implant, integrated into the bone tissue, functions as a root and serves as an independent support for a crown or bridge. This allows for the complete recreation of the natural tooth structure without affecting adjacent healthy teeth and ensuring optimal distribution of chewing forces.
Removable Dental Prosthetics
Used in cases of extensive tooth loss or complete edentulism, as well as when implants are not feasible. Various types of removable dentures exist:
- Acrylic Dentures (Plates): Can be full or partial. In complete edentulism, fixation may be achieved with special adhesive. This is an affordable option suitable for patients with a limited budget.
- Clasp Dentures (Framework Dentures): Feature a cast metal framework, providing high reliability and better aesthetics compared to acrylic dentures with clasps (hooks).
- Nylon Dentures (e.g., Valplast): Characterized by high elasticity, strength, and aesthetics (“invisible dentures”) due to their translucent material and absence of metal clasps. Nylon is free of residual monomer, making them suitable for allergic patients. Ideal for athletes and individuals in high-risk professions.
- Implant-Retained Removable Dentures: Offer significantly better retention and comfort compared to traditional removable dentures.
Dental Microprosthetics
This method is used when there is significant destruction of the tooth’s crown, and a conventional filling cannot guarantee durability and strength.
- Inlays, Onlays, Overlays: Laboratory-fabricated micro-prostheses that accurately restore the tooth’s anatomical form. They are distinguished by high strength, resistance to staining, and caries resistance.
- Veneers: Ultra-thin ceramic (porcelain) shells эмоций that are bonded to the front surface of teeth to correct their shape, color, or minor defects. Veneers provide excellent aesthetic results, strength, and durability with minimal tooth preparation.
Adhesive Bridgework
A modern technology that allows for the replacement of a missing tooth without grinding down adjacent teeth. The prosthesis is attached to the supporting teeth using a fiberglass strip and composite material, for which small ledges are created on the adjacent teeth (often in the area of old fillings).
The choice of prosthetic method and type of appliance is always made strictly индивидуально, considering all aspects of the clinical case and the patient’s wishes. Our specialists will help you select the optimal solution for restoring your smile.
